The club would like to provide our members with an update regarding the upcoming season. As you are all no doubt aware we entered in to a new stage 3 lock down period which means no community sport or training for the next 6 weeks.
Prior to this announcement it was the intention that the season would be starting on time in early October for the senior body and a few weeks after that for the juniors. With the new lockdown the BDCA has proposed a range of scheduling and format options for comment by the clubs, the committee and our club coach Matt White are currently looking at these options.
What we do know at the moment is that our intention at Eaglehawk Cricket Club is to proceed with senior and junior cricket in some format for the 2020/21 season.
We were about to open our junior registration however we have temporarily postponed this until we have some more clarity on when the season will start. Please keep in touch with our social media platforms for more information regarding this.
Senior training will commence at the conclusion of the current lockdown period if the post lockdown regulations permit such activities. Again more information on this will be provided when it comes to hand and will be distributed via our social media platforms.
To ensure everyone’s safety the club has formed a working group to assess the return to play process for the club and will provide this information to coaches, players and members as required.
Please fell free to contact the club if you have any questions at all and we will endeavour to answer these as soon as possible.
